Vernal Edge is a gorgeous looking 2D action platformer by Hello Penguin, a small indie team that have been making games for the past 10 years. It looks like they have a winner here with this game, though, and they are using the Kickstarter platform to ask the gaming community for support.

What is this Vernal Edge?
Well, that is a pretty good question, considering this is an indie game that is trying to make itself known at the moment, so let me help you!
Vernal Edge is a “character action” platformer featuring free-form exploration and lush, vibrant pixel art environments. It also has metroidvania elements where you fly into the sky to find new places to explore and monsters to destroy. You can juggle enemies, explore mysterious islands on your airship, and fight intense bosses all with a combat system inspired by deep technical action games like Devil May Cry.
The game is currently aiming to release on Steam and other digital platforms in late 2022, and a Nintendo Switch port is expected to come some time shortly afterward.
How Can I Support Vernal Edge?
I am glad you asked! The game is currently on Kickstarter, and it is very close to its initial goal. It has many pledge tiers that may excite you beyond simply getting the game itself. You can even get Beta access or exclusive taunts or character color palletes to show off to your friends.
