Two Surprising Switch Trailers at The Game Awards 2019

The Game Awards 2019 wrapped up on Friday evening in Los Angeles, California. It was a fun time with a lot of great games being highlighted. But Switch owners were blessed with a couple surprises! One in the form of an unexpected trailer, and the other from a shocking exclusive announcement. Here are the quick details.

No More Heroes III

First up, we have the official trailer for No More Heroes III. Goichi Suda, also known as Suda51, has been sitting on this game’s details for quite some time. The enigmatic director and writer finally gave us a glimpse of the game, its premise, and a whole cast of new characters well beyond the confines of earth.

Travis Touchdown is back with his Beam Katana, and it looks like he will face his greatest challenge yet. He will have to work his way up the intergalactic superhero rankings and save the world! The trailer even ends on a sarcastically confident 2020 projected release date. Let’s continue to keep an eye out for this one, because it seems like a wild ride.

BRAVELY DEFAULT 2

The second, and more shocking, announcement was Square Enix showing off a teaser trailer for Bravely Default 2, a sequel to the critically acclaimed Nintendo 3DS game. JRPG fans should be excited, because this one came out of nowhere. It is time to become brave again, young heroes! The world needs us, and we will get to play this Nintendo Switch exclusive anywhere we want.

Bravely Default 2 is being produced by Team Asano, the same team that was responsible for the original and for Octopath Traveler. For fans of the original Bravely Default, it seems like most of the people who worked on the first are on board for the sequel. As with No More Heroes III, Square Enix is also claiming a 2020 release window for Bravely Default 2. So let’s get ready to become a hero once again!

Which one are you excited to play?
