This update brings a few improvements: now, the Prophet’s hints are shown on the map, a visual cue in the underground labyrinth makes it more accessible, and a jukebox has been added. The two biggest changes are the ability to remap the button layout and New Game+.
Button Remapping
This is an important update feature, as it is something Switch games are majorly lacking. Other consoles and PC allow some form of button remapping on almost every game. Having this is definitely a good feature, let’s hope more Switch games follow suit.
New Game+
New Game Plus is now available to those players who have finished the game and enjoy a challenge. When you start with the New Game+, a plus sign will be shown after the save file name. You start the game with all abilities unlocked, but the game will be more of a challenge, with increased damage and stronger bosses. New Game+ will only be accessible when 100% progression is achieved.
Want more of a challenge? The Messenger has you covered. Finished New Game+? Why not play it again with an extra +? Still too easy? You can keep playing New Game+ with more plus signs, until the game is so hard it’s everything one-hit kills you and you die regardless of the enemy. Think you are up for it?
