Evil has found a New Home!
Last year Capcom dipped their toes onto the Switch, when they re-released the Resident Evil Revelations Collection, a double-feature consisting of Resident Evil Revelations, a game that originated on the Nintendo 3DS back in 2012 but saw enough success to warrant a console re-release, and its 2015 sequel, Resident Evil Revelations 2. Both could be bought seperately on the Nintendo Switch eShop, or collectively in a physical package, albeit where one game still had to be downloaded, that only saw release in Japan and North America.
Still testing the waters, Capcom has now announced the upcoming re-releases of no more than three of their timeless classics; Resident Evil 4, the fan favorite that has almost seen more re-releases now than the original Sonic the Hedgehog, the amazing remake of the original Resident Evil, and the underdog that is Resident Evil Zero, a fine game in its own right that quite frankly doesn’t get enough love.
In other words, we have still yet to actually see an original Resident Evil title on the Switch, but these 3 masterpieces are never the less very much a welcomed addition to its library, and we cannot wait to play them all again for the umph-time.
No specific release date has been bestowed these games yet, all we know is that they will grace us in 2019. But hey, the year is almost at its end, so the time where you will be able to take the ultimate evils with you on the go, is closer than you think!
We will keep you posted as we learn more, and of course look forward to our eventual review when evil finds its new home!
