Wow, Nintendo. You just do not know when to calm down, do you? Not only did we get a major announcement yesterday about Super Mario Maker 2‘s massive new update, but Nintendo once again dropped another bobombshell today with the announcement of a new Animal Crossing: New Horizon update.

New Update Additions
Similar to Super Mario Maker 2‘s announcement, Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ new update includes a lot of additions to add a whole lot of stuff to our favorite little chill simulator. Many of these are returns from previous games, so it is exciting to see some of these things finally make their appearance in New Horizons.
Leif’s Garden Shop
Leif is returning to the world of Animal Crossing to provide his expertise in gardening, planting, and flowers.
Jolly Redd’s Treasure Trawler
Redd is back in New Horizons as Jolly Redd, and he will be in a little boat that visits your island. He seems a bit sketchier than before, which is going to make buying the correct work of art a little more tricky. You can also buy rare furniture from him.
Museum Expansion
With the addition of Jolly Redd, the museum is officially expanding to add an art gallery for paintings and sculptures.
Upcoming Events (April – June)
On top of the additions to the game, we also got some information about events happening in the next couple months. Nintendo is really doing a good job of keeping Animal Crossing: New Horizons relevant with these casual event announcements.
Nature Day
From April 23 until May 5, Nature Day will be happening on everyone’s islands, and it will include a special Nature Day promotion for Nook Miles+ members. If you have not quite made it that far in the game yet, be sure to build your house so you can become a Nook Miles+ member!
May Day
From May 1 until May 7, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will get to celebrate May Day. You will be able to head out on a limited-time May Day Tour from the airport, similar to that of the Nook Miles Ticket.
International Museum Day
From May 18 until May 31, the museum will be celebrating Museum Day by holding a Stamp Rally. You will be able to receive in-game rewards through the Stamp Rally, so take advantage of this seemingly fun event!
Wedding Season
From June 1 until June 30, Wedding Season will be happening in the game. Harvey the photographer needs help with setting up weddings, and you are tasked with arranging anniversary and wedding photos.
Quite a big announcement for Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Between this and Super Mario Maker 2‘s update, I will have my hands full. I cannot wait to try these updates out!
