Welcome to 6 Switch Games Coming Out This Week! Another week has come and gone. What have you picked up in the meantime? I’m personally hoping to pick up Snack World soon! Now, let’s check out some other games we might be interested in this week!
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition – Thursday, February 20th
First up, Capcom published and developed this special edition set before the events of the original Devil May Cry. Dante will confront his twin brother, Vergil, who wishes to unlock the gate to the demon realm! (Oh dear!) There are different combat styles such as Swordmaster and Gunslinger. The game includes all special edition content as well as Switch exclusive content! Purchasing DMC3 will give you a 50% discount off of DMC and DMC2! The PC edition received mixed reviews on Steam, but perhaps the Switch version will differ! Will you defeat Vergil, or will you… cry… in defeat?
Fred3ric – Thursday, February 20th
Next up, Forever Entertainment published this zany music sequel to the first two games, Frederic: Resurrection of Music, and Frederic 2: Evil Strikes Back. I played some of the first game (got distracted by other titles), but want to go back eventually, as it was somewhat entertaining! In this entry, you’ll return as Frederic and battle against Zeitgeist, who plans to throw Frederic into the vortex of time. Additional enemies face Frederic, as infected composers from the past attempt to kill him too. (Man, what did Frederic do wrong to get so many people after him?!?) Play reinterpreted classical works of music and experience a humorous story. (Results not typical. Laughs may vary.) There are eight levels with an “extensive” final level. It seems a bit short, so maybe pick it up while it’s got its pre-purchase price of $4.99 (half off). If you pick this title up, I hope you enjoy it!
Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late – Thursday, February 20th
This long winded title is published by Aksys Games (usually a good sign) and developed by Arc System Works as well as FRENCH-BREAD. (Yum!) In this game, you’ll battle with 21 unique characters, including a new one named Londrekia (interesting name! Couldn’t find anything on its origins though). Practice hard, and you might master combos and special attacks as you view 12,000 frames of animation. There are even 1,000 “character balance adjustments,” whatever that means. This game does need a Nintendo Switch Online membership for at least some features, so watch out for that.
Vitamin Connection – Thursday, February 20th
Next, this entry is an interesting one. WayForward published and developed this game in which multiplayer involves unique and innovative Joy-Con controls. As the store description says, coordination is key, as one player must hold a Joy-Con vertically to move and shoot, while the other must use their Joy-Con horizontally to rotate and aim. (The controls may either be a Joy-Pro or a Joy-Con. You decide!) Co-pilot a Capsule Ship as Vita-Boy and Mina-Girl as you destroy pathogens in a host body! You’ll save different members of a family throughout the game. There’s even new game pro mode, in which you’ll play as the anti-hero, Pro-Biotic! I wonder if they’ll release a sequel called Mineral Connection if this one does well!
Uncharted Tides: Port Royal – Thursday, February 20th
Artifex Mundi published and developed this adventure/puzzle game in which you play as the daughter of renowned sailor Mason Owens, who may or may not be dead. You must find the ship that may have caused his death, and learn whether or not daddy dearest has succumbed to the allure of the ocean. Chart those uncharted tides with all hands (yours) on deck!
Ciel Fledge: A Daughter Raising Simulator – Friday, February 21st
Finally, last but certainly not least is a game I’ve been looking forward to since its announcement. An Indonesian developer, Studio Namaapa, and Pqube were involved in the development and publication of this game. It looks to be an absolutely adorable simulation game in which you raise a little girl, a survivor of destruction left behind by a mysterious alien in this thirtieth century tale. Raise Ciel – schedule and supervise her as she grows. Customize Ciel with multiple outfits and equipment, and see through multiple endings! (As a lover of fashion, I’m particularly excited by the dress up aspect!) Explore the surface of the Earth as well as its sky in a world where humans left the ground behind due to civilization’s destruction. Will you be a disciplinarian, or will you spoil the precocious little thing rotten? (Spoiler alert: mine will be the next Veruca Salt! Haha!) Either way, this looks fantastic and I can’t wait to check it out!

Thank you for for stopping by SwitchWatch.co.uk and reading 6 Switch Games Coming Out This Week. Boy, we really had a Thursday-heavy release week, huh? Regardless, these look like some pretty solid titles to spend time with until Animal Crossing comes out, which I’m hyped for. Are you going to pick any of these up? Let us know in the comments!
