Arbitrary Metric and Baltoro Games have officially announced that Paratopic, the award-winning horror game, is coming to the Nintendo Switch on August 21, 2020 for $5.49 USD.
Paratopic is a horror game experience where PlayStation-style graphics and experimental cinema blend together. Smugglers, lost highways, assassination, and long-forgotten forests await you in your pocket. A leisurely playthrough should take around forty-five minutes, with plenty to discover in the detailed, grimey, low-polygon environments.
The game has already been out on Steam for a couple years, and here are some inserts from other publications that had a lot of great things to say about Paratopic at the time.
“Paratopic is a short first-person horror game which draws ideas from Thirty Flights Of Loving but takes them somewhere terrible, leading them down an alley and through an unmarked door into a world which looks a bit like ours but just isn’t right.” – Rock,Paper,Shotgun

“Paratopic brilliantly plays on horror imagery and freaky sound design to put you inside of a nightmare place.” – Waypoint
“Paratopic‘s city is a sooty husk, a ruin whose scarce inhabitants eke out day-to-day existence by taking dangerous smuggling jobs, murdering for money, or reconfiguring their flesh in agonized cathode-ray rapture.” – Heterotopias
There is over an hour of critically-acclaimed dark ambient music used to create subtly dynamic, IGF award-winning soundscape. An anachronistic blend of modern and outdated production as glitches and textural pads meet synthesis & sampling akin to 1990s Unreal Engine soundtracks. This is a unique experience that will shine on the go with our favorite hybrid console.
