Ninjala, Nintendo’s Bubblegum-like Arena Fighter, Delayed

Nintendo’s big May release, Ninjala, has officially been delayed until June 25th. This is unfortunate, as it continues to show the barren schedule for this month due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we are thankful that the delay is not major.

GungHo Online Entertainment announced earlier today that Ninjala will not be arriving as scheduled due to the coronavirus.

GungHo president and CEO, Kazuki Morishita, gave an explanation for the delay;

Ninjala is near completion, but we are significantly limited in how quickly we can work to test and finalize the game when we cannot be in the same room. Although we are working hard to launch Ninjala and release it to our fans, the health and safety of our employees is paramount. We apologize to our Ninjala fans who were eagerly anticipating its launch, and we ask for your understanding as we work to bring you the best game we can in this additional month.”

You can still get excited about Ninjala, but we will all have to wait a little more before we can hope online with this one. Ninjala officially launches on the Nintendo Switch on June 24th, 2020.
