The Fairune Collection Will Be Coming On May 17th

The Fairune Collection release for the Nintendo Switch is officially set on May 17th and will cost just $10.  Additionally, the collection will be available for pre-load from May 10th which will also qualify you for a 10% early bird discount.

The collection will include four games including two original games in the series, an all-new prequel and a new game mode offering an alternative shoot-em up style of gameplay.  The original two games in the series were released in 2014 and 2016 respectively, and the second one saw positive reviews including a 7.0 from Nintendolife.

The Fairune games place you in a retro world vaguely reminiscent of the original Legend of Zelda and follows an unnamed heroine on various adventures across a large over world and underworld in the sequel as she solves puzzles to progress to her goals.  According to the Nintendolife review, the second game alone will yield between 2.5-5 hours of gameplay.  With a total of four games at just $10, this is certain to be well worth your time and money if you are a fan of the classic Zelda experience.

Below please see the description from the Flyhigh Works PR statement.

Fairune Collection includes four games in one package – Fairune, Fairune 2, Fairune Origin and Fairune Blast!

Fairune (previously on 3DS) is a retro-styled adventure RPG. Our heroine embarks upon a journey to unlock three mysterious statues and seal away a great evil. Throughout the journey she will need to solve puzzles, fight monsters, discover new weapons and improve her abilities.

Fairune 2 (previously on 3DS) brings our heroine back for another perilous quest, this time to find a lost fairy. This sequel delivers a bigger world for those that are ready for the challenge.

Fairune Origin, being released for the first time, offers an intriguing look at the beginnings of the IP. It provides a short but fun adventure and illustrates how SKIPMORE conceptualised the gameplay of the two games that followed.

Fairune Blast is an unlockable treat, meanwhile, to offer something completely different. It’s a colourful shoot-em-up, perfect for pick-up-and-play action on the Nintendo Switch!
