Today Ratalaika Games put on a display of visual novels for the coming year! As a fan of visual novels, I’m hyped for all of the included games. Let’s check them out now!
Long Live The Queen
Previously published on Steam, Long Live The Queen involves a young princess who must train to become queen after the death of her mother. You must keep her alive for forty weeks until she turns fifteen and takes the crown. It looks like there are tests to take and stats to increase, and reminds me of how Princess Maker looks a little bit. I’m extremely excited for this one, releasing sometime this year.
Blind Men
Described on its Steam page as a boys’ love visual novel, Blind Men involves an aspiring super villain and the spies he meets in the process of trying to make it big. With more than fifty thousand words, two love interests, and multiple endings, this game is definitely something I’ll keep an eye on until its release in April.
Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet
A candy alchemist named Syrup discovers a candy golem in her basement. Discover the golem’s origins and see if you can make the Ultimate Sweet! With cute names like Butterscotch, this game is sure to be sugary sweet! It releases today, so be sure to check it out!
Angel With Scaly Wings
Angel With Scaly Wings is a sci-fi visual with slice of life and dating elements. A mysterious portal is discovered, and you are chosen as one of the humans allowed into the world of dragons! This game sounds like a blast, scheduled for release this year!
Summer With The Shiba Inu
Compared by a reviewer to Hatoful Boyfriend, this visual novel previously released on Steam involves Syd the Shiba Inu returning to Shiba Island after ten years. She must survive echoes of the past that forced her to leave the island to begin with. There are around seventy thousand words and more than ten endings. This game will be…unleashed…later this year!
Tales of Aravorn: Seasons of the Wolf
Next up, Tales of Aravorn: Seasons of the Wolf, another Steam game, makes its way to consoles in 2020. Set in the same world as Loren the Amazon Princess, this game is a fantasy turn based RPG with visual novel elements in which you play as one of two twins and experience many storylines, side quests, and even romance! Sounds good to me!
Jisei: The First Case HD
In Jisei: The First Case, you play as a nameless young man that travels, who has an interesting ability. He ends up accused of murdering a woman he doesn’t know, and he must find the real killer himself! I wonder if there will be more than one game in the series since this is the first case?
That Was the Showcase!
Like I said, I’m a huge visual novel fan, so I’m extremely excited to see Ratalaika Games dedicate themselves to visual novels. Which of these looks the most appealing to you? Let us know in the comments! Thank you for visiting SwitchWatch.co.uk!
