Earlier this year, Blizzard Entertainment sent a tweet strongly hinting that the classic dungeon crawler would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Today, Forbes mistakenly leaked the news the Diablo 3 Eternal Edition would be making its way to the Switch later this year. This version of the game will cost $59.99, and it will include all of the DLC along with a special armor which makes you look like Ganon from the Legend of Zelda series as seen in the image below.
As with most multiplayer games on the Switch, Diablo 3 will support local LAN across multiple consoles which may be the ideal way to experience the game. One issue with playing locally on one console in Diablo 3 is when any player accesses their inventory or skills, the game gets paused for all players. In a game which requires that players frequently access their inventories, this can be quite a nuisance. Thanks to the ease of being able to bring multiple Switches together for local co-op, this issue can be bypassed conveniently on the Switch.
Will you be getting Diablo 3 on the Switch when it launches later this year? Let us know in the comments below!
