Dragon Ball FighterZ Switch Japanese Release Date Revealed

When Dragon Ball FighterZ was initially revealed and in the subsequent months since, Dragon Ball fans have been clamoring for the game to be released on the Nintendo Switch. During Nintendo’s E3 Direct this year, that wish was granted when the game was sneaked into the highlight reel just before the major reveal of Super Smash Bros Ultimate. We got to briefly see the game beautifully depicted on the Switch in handheld mode, and now the question is simply when will the game come? Well, Bandai Namco has answered that question at least for Japanese fans.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be coming to Japanese Switch on September 27th and to importers around the world as the Switch is thankfully a region-free console. It was also revealed what will and won’t be included along with this title.

“The Switch port will not come bundled with DLC content for free, but will include a free download code for SNES game Dragon Ball Z: Super Butouden. Early purchasing will reward players with playable characters Goku and Vegeta (SSGSS), and the Switch port will contain a mode called Extreme Type, which makes pulling off super moves easier to accomplish.”
