The results of The Game Awards 2017 are in, and Nintendo has taken home a total of six awards. One of those awards is technically not Nintendo, but it was the result of a collaboration between Nintendo and Ubisoft, so I am including it on this list. The Nintendo games which received awards are as follows:
- Game of the Year – Legend of Zelda:Breath of the Wild
- Best Game Direction – Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Best Handheld Game – Metroid: Samus Returns
- Bests Action/Adventure Game – Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Best Family Game – Mario Odyssey
- Best Strategy Game – Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle
Nintendo had a strong showing at The Game Awards 2017. This has been a massive year for Breath of the Wild, and the game truly deserves the accolades it has received. Here is to another strong year from Nintendo.
