To celebrate Doom’s 25th anniversary, Bethesda just stealth dropped not one, not two, but three classic Doom titles on the Nintendo Switch. So while you are waiting for the much anticipated Doom Eternal to release, go take a blast to the past and either experience or re-experience some of the finest first-person shooters of old!
- Doom (1993)
- Doom II (1994)
- Doom 3 (2004)
Doom takes you back to where it all began, and comes packed with the expansion, Episode IV: Thy Flesh Consumed. Doom allows for 4-player split-screen deathmatch as well as split-screen co-op. Doom is available for $4.99/£3.99.
Doom II took everything ID software had learned from the first game and took it above and beyond, revolutionizing the genre, and created an immortal classic that is still highly regarded to this day. This re-release comes jam-packed with the Master Levels which consist of 20 brutal bonus levels, and like the first Doom, allows for 4-player split-screen deathmatch as well as split-screen co-op. Doom II is available for $4.99/£3.99.
Although perhaps not remembered as fondly as its predecessors for going in a more action-horror direction, Doom 3 still kicks all sorts of ass and is a quality game. This re-release includes the expansion packs Resurrection of Evil and The Lost Missions. Doom 3 is available for $9.99/£7.99.
