Hi-Rez Studios Opens Video Game Developer Red Beard Games In Brighton, UK
Industry Leading GAAS Developer and Publisher Announces New Development Hub Expanding
Its European Presence

 

Atlanta-based, industry leading games as a service developer, publisher Hi-Rez Studios today unveiled plans to strengthen its UK presence by establishing a development studio in the English seaside town of Brighton. Following the opening of its UK-based office in 2016, the newly formed development studio, named Red Beard Games, will be led by European General Manager and Global Vice President of Marketing, Veronique Lallier.

“As the publishing group continues to go from strength to strength, we are thrilled to expand our team here and unveil plans for development in the UK. We are open for business and actively looking for candidates from all disciplines to build a best in class development team,” said Lallier.

This news follows a series of positive announcements from the company including the release of all current titles on Nintendo Switch and the addition of cross-play and cross-progression for SMITE, Paladins and Realm Royale, placing Hi-Rez at the forefront of the cross-platform revolution as the only developer both creating and publishing three live-service cross-platform
titles.

“The ambition for Red Beard Games is to mix the excitement and focus found in a little indie studio with the production capacity and features you would expect from a major developer and publisher. The details of the new studios project will soon be revealed but fans can expect that our commitment to community collaboration and innovation are as strong as ever,” commented Stew Chisam, CEO and President at Hi-Rez Studios.
