An interesting local multiplayer dungeon crawler is coming to the Nintendo Switch on December 19th. Crawl is a procedurally generated four-player game in which one person takes control of a human hero while the other three players use disembodied spirits to possess traps and over 60 different kinds of monsters within the dungeon. If the hero dies, it is that player’s turn to become a spirit, and the player who dealt the killing blow becomes the hero. It is a race against the clock to complete the game within 30 minutes. Make it to the final boss, and three players will take control of its flailing limbs to stop the dastardly human. And fear not. If you don’t have anyone to play with, the game features “viscous single-player AI”.
Crawl was originally released on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One on April 11th, 2017. Crawl will cost $14.99 USD, €14,99 EU, and £12.99 GBP. Crawl sounds like a title perfectly suited to the Nintendo Switch thanks to the Switch’s split Joycon functionality. It seems to be a game worth keeping in mind. Will you be purchasing Crawl?
