Bloodstained was a massive Kickstarter success, raising a staggering $5.5 million dollars while only asking for $500,000 Dollars, back in 2015. Let’s just say this was delayed… a lot. It was slated for the PSvita and the WiiU, but these versions have been cancelled. These delays have upset the fans, but faith has been restored. After Nintendo’s first Direct of the year, Igarashi-san revealed that Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night is scheduled for a summer 2019 release for Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.
Koji Igarashi-san is at the helm, who, during his time at Konami is said to be the father of Castlevania, most notably Castlevania: Symphony of the Night – which is beloved by fans and critics alike and heralded as the best Castlevania entry. We fans can only hope that Igarashi-san’s Bloodstsaind: Ritual of the Night will be as good, if not better, than its spiritual predecessor Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
While we wait for Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night, why not check out the tie-in game from Igarashi-san Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon. With its more classical look and feel, you would be doing yourself an injustice by not playing it if you are a Castlevania fan. Coming in at $9.99 USD and £8.99 GBP, it’s a steal for an excellent game.
