Beware: Third-Party Docks May Brick Your Nintendo Switch After Update

Nintendo received a new update recently, moving into version 5.0. With this update has come a very unfortunate side effect. People have found their Nintendo Switch have become unusable after plugging into a third-party dock.

Nyko have been fielding support from angry and frustrated users of their dock on their Twitter page since the issue. They have been offering to pay for repair costs, and even replace some Switches that were out of warranty.
